Descriptions: Ribbon Mixer accurately blends small proportion into large stocks and rapidly mixes and discharge. Multiple blades set at different angles on the horizontal shaft sweep the entire length of the mixer trough. They have the effect of moving alternate sections of the mix towards the center of the trough and the remainder towards the outer ends. This moves and turns the whole mixture to & fro, up & down movement, leaving no pockets of unmixed material and giving a thorough blending in the shortest possible time.  

Ribbon Mixer is used for the uniform and homogeneous mixing of powder, granules, etc. It consists of a ‘U’ shaft with two sets of spiral ribbons; one inside the other. The complete assembly is mounted on an MS/ SS structure. The inner and outer ribbons are so arranged that during rotation, the material reaches each and every corner of the trough and imparts radial and linear motion to the whole of the material to be mixed. At the same time material is moved from the side of the trough to the center and vise versa resulting in quick & homogeneous mixing. Double ribbon configuration also brings materials towards the center bottom outlet while discharging. A specially designed valve is provided at the center of the butterfly valve for discharge. Blending is achieved in semi fluidized state in the upper zone of the trough when used for fine powders. The machine can be provided with spray nozzles with a pressure spraying system for spraying additives in blenders. Ribbon blender can also be used as a dryer by providing a jacket on the trough.

Salient features :

• All contact parts in SS 304/ SS 316 quality. Standard and GMP models specially designed flush type outlet valve or butterfly alve (optional).
• Top cover with acrylic sheet. The cover is connected to limit switch for the safety purpose. Machine automatically stops as soon as the cover is opened during the operation.
• Shaft sealing at inside and out side with teflon bush and MS stuffing box. Solid stainless steel end covers and frame work on the trough in even standard models for long trouble free life of the machine.

• Process control panel with batch timer and cyclic timer for reverse & forward direction of the ribbon.
• Spray nozzles with a pressure spraying system for spraying additives in blenders during the process.
• Cooling or heating jacket can be provided for special uses such as crystallizing or drying.
• Variable speed drive and two-speed motors can be provided on demand
