OCTAGONAL BLENDER
DESCRIPTIONS : Octagonal Blender is a self-contained unit that consists of an SS polygon-shaped body with a rectangular center portion and top, bottom, polygonal frustum. The shell is provided with an opening rectangular type manhole. Octagonal Blender, an eight face (polygon shape) blender is uniquely designed and engineered for uniform & homogeneous blending of tablet/capsule ingredients with its diagonally fitted & easily removable baffle. The blender is driven by standard 3ph. Induction motor with fluid coupling to safeguard against any jerks to blender shell. All material contact parts are in SS316 and non-contact parts in SS304 duly argon arc welded and mirror-finished including supports, safety drive guard, control panel mounting arrangement.
Baffle:
Specially designed swivel type baffles fitted diagonally inside the shell for faster and efficient blending of product.
Drive Mechanism:
Consists of 5HP 3 phases, 415 V, 50 cycles 1400 RPM, TEFC electric motor coupled with 6” gearbox and chain drive to achieve 6 to 10 working RPM.
Mounting:
2 Nos. ‘A’ shaped rigid fabricated body each other supported with angle and channel frame within the specific distance to centralize Octagon. The driving shaft of the shell is mounted on a suitable Plummer bearing block parallel to the floor surface. The entire body will be covered with SS for protection.
Safety Arrangement:
SS square pipe, safety guard is provided along with limit switch arrangement to prevent the unit from starting when the operator is working on the machine and when the railing is not in the position.

Control panel : This unit is provided with a SS covered panel board with push button, On/Off switches, hinging operation, MCB and overload relay setting, etc. will be provided.
Pneumatic powder Charging /Manual Discharge: Pneumatic Automatic Powder charging system is provided duly mounted on a swivel davit interlocked with sensor to safeguard against Blender. It is provided with a SS suction nozzle coupled to a flexible PVC food quality conveying pipe to Enable for direct suction of the powder from container which will be discharged in blender and on complete charging of batch or maximum up to 70%-80% by volume, filter bag of charging system may automatically be cleaned by auto reverse pulse jet mechanism thereby safeguarding against operator dependency, charging system may be swiveled on side and locked in that position which will actuate the sensor for that position, a dummy cover to be clamped on charging hole & homogenous blending action can be initiated by starting the blender operation. After necessary blending period the material can be discharged & collected from bottom into container by manually opening the butterfly valve. The entire auto charging system is a tool free assembly. Discharge height is to be maintained according to the actual requirement of clients or feeding bin size.
Drum charge/Discharge: The Blender is provided by a circular opening along with SS butterfly valve and a conical adapter to facilitate charging of the clamping drum to the blender. The valve can be operated from the ground level with the charging drum in the raised position with the help of a mechanical arrangement. This charging drum can be used for charging and discharging the product. Discharge height is to be maintained according to the actual requirement of clients or feeding bin size.

Octagonal Blender, due to its octagonal shape is designed to process larger volume of material. It occupies less space compared to other similar blenders like `V’ and Double Cone. Power consumption is also less, The blending takes place at low speed during operation. It is well balanced even in higher capacities.
